Marie is a lawyer working in an artistic agency in the film industry. She was looking to buy two apartments (Marie II) to be renovated, as a rental investment and decided to leave it all up to us.
Surely the financial aspect was important to her but her main outmost wish was to create a cozy home for the tenants to settle in.
Audrey ended up finding a loft with lots of potential, for which Marie loved its New Yorkan style thanks to its great volume and large windows… full of sunshine! On top of all, the apartment is super well located: close to an RER station and a charming shopping street, the rue de Passy in 16th arrondissement in Paris.
Nina’s idea was to highlight its volume by creating an open sleeping area on a mezzanine floor to make the most of the living space. Marie really liked the minimalist, thin wooden structure and all the hidden cupboards. It definitely ended up looking much bigger than it actually is!
It was so great to work with Marie because she was so implicated in the projects and super open to all our proposals, both during the search and the architecture and design phases. She decided to take one day off work each week during the whole renovation period, which was amazing!
